“I ran for them at Road America in 2022 and I think they’re as professional as it gets. Scott Sr., and Junior are really dedicated to what they’re doing. After a run, we’d sit down and talk about what happened, and we’d look at video and look at data and try and see where you’re gaining speed and losing speed and what you can do better.”

“It’s great because they’re super plug-and-play. They obviously have quite the sophisticated program going on, being a team with some NASCAR background. They draw a lot from NASCAR with how they operate procedurally on and off the track. They have a super-strong testing regimen, so those guys are always on the cutting edge of the latest technology that TA2 offers, and they’re never satisfied. They’re always looking for more, which is super cool. It’s always super fun to come join them and help them achieve their goals.”

“I’ve had a really, really good relationship with Scott Jr. We raced against each other in TA2 in 2018 when we were both fighting for the championship and it was always clean racing. I could not have been more welcomed when I tested with them in 2023 – really felt supported and encouraged. I got to spend some really good time with Scott Sr., and his ability to diagnose and dissect what’s going on with the car is unlike anybody I’ve ever dealt with. He knows the chassis so well and he knows the tuning changes so well, and it was so easy to communicate with him and to make valid, relevant changes that made progress on the track.”

“I would say, between Scott and Scottie, they bring a lot to the table. They really do care tremendously about making sure the drivers come out with good results. They want to make sure they’re giving them everything they can in the way of coaching, as well as finding performance in the car. Even the days when things aren’t working in their favor as far as the racing goes – things can happen during the race and there can be problems – and still trying to make the best of those situations. I think if it were anyone else, the results wouldn’t be as good as they are with the Lagasses, with their devotion and dedication. There’s always coaching going on, even as the laps are being turned.”

“The road-course stuff was pretty brand new to me when I ran with the Lagasses in 2023. I had run a few road-course races in ARCA at Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen and Daytona, so wasn’t totally new. But that first TA2 race at Sebring, with almost 50 cars in the field, was a whole, new animal. It was great for me to work with such a refreshing group. They’re just racers and they want to win as badly as I do. They’re very knowledgeable, and just being part of their team was incredible. For me to have had such a great group behind me, getting me up to speed, I think accelerated my learning curve a little bit. Of course, it’s not something you can just jump into and figure out right away, but I think we made pretty good progress.”

“The Lagasses have been great. They’re always very professional, obviously very experienced and have a lot of knowledge about these cars. They always bring good equipment and a good knowledge base to make these cars go fast at any track. I’ve raced against them a bunch and they’ve obviously had good equipment and they’re always tough competitors, and being under the same tent now makes it a little bit easier to utilize that knowledge.

“It’s all about being surrounded by good people, and that’s a big deal, right? This is a group of people working together so that we can all win, and this type of thing has only ever happened to me under the Lagasse tent. We get the NASCAR kids who come in here who are 10 times as good as me, or the guys who are up and coming and have way more raw talent but just need the experience, and we all work together and we’re all learning how to help each other.”

“I’ve been working with TeamSLR since December (of 2023), starting with a lot of testing for most of the year. It’s been great to work with Scotty (Scott Lagasse Jr.) and his dad (Scott Lagasse Sr.). Working with the Lagasses and everybody on the team, learning from them as far as driving and looking at the data has helped me a lot.”

And it’s just a super-professional environment, everybody knows what they’re doing, and everybody’s really good at their job.”
