Connor Mosack, Driver No. 28 High Point University/Nic Tailor Custom Fit Underwear/Interstate Foam & Supply/TeamSLR/M1 Racecars Ford Mustang:
“After a strong qualifying run to get the pole, we were confident for raceday. We were running great, and around 15 laps in or so we hit a yellow flag. After the flag cleared up we got a good start and we were running well. A few changes in position had moved us down to third, but charging the top-two. A second yellow flag waved and as it ended and the race started back up, we were caught up in a crash. We know we had the fastest car out there and we’ll continue to keep working toward a victory.”
Sammy Smith, Driver No. 18 TeamSLR/M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro:
“We had good car today for my first Trans Am race. Early on we were having to fight for track position, coming to the end of the race with five laps to go we moved up to fifth place. We had a chance to score a podium, but I made a small mistake which took that chance away.”
