Sawalich Shows Speed Throughout Event in Only Second TA2 Start

“I still believe we had the best car of the race, it just didn’t go our way this time. We’ll take the second-place points and we’ll go have another good day in Atlanta. It was great to have High Point University on the car and get them a podium finish for their first race.”

“Qualifying 10th we were very pleased, going into the race we knew we had a chance to improve position. During the race we broke a sway bar arm off, which called for an early retirement from the race.”

The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli heads to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta March 24-27 for the Atlanta SpeedTour in Braselton, Georgia. The event begins with two open test sessions on Thursday, March 24. Practice on the 2.54-mile, 12-turn road course begins Friday, March 25 followed by qualifying later in the day.
