Dillon Machavern, Driver No. 92, TeamSLR

“I forgot how physical it is to drive these cars compared to the IMSA cars that have traction control and ABS. I’m a little worn out. It was a really awesome race. The Lagasse guys put a great car under me. I didn’t really know what to expect since we had so much wet and only one dry session to figure it out. The team made a huge effort to put a good car on track for the race. After starting sixth, we had to pick our way through the field and the hard work of the team paid off. Traffic played a factor in typical Lime Rock fashion. After that last restart, we were basically running qualifying laps for the last 20 laps or so. The car stayed under me and we were able to get a good second-place finish. I’m just really happy to back in a Trans Am car.”

Connor Mosack, Driver No. 28, TeamSLR:

“Overall, we had a pretty good weekend in the Nic Tailor/IFS SLR/M1 Racecars Camaro. Lime Rock is a tight, fun track and you always have to be up on the wheel, which is something I like. I think we could’ve qualified a little better, but strategy toward the end of the session by other teams did not go our way. We did not have the speed we wanted at the beginning of the race, but it came to us toward the end. We’re happy with a fourth-place finish in our first time being here. We worked hard all weekend to be in that position and I think we’ll be really good at Mid-Ohio in a few weeks.”
