Sam Mayer, Driver No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro, TeamSLR:

“Obviously, coming out with the win means a lot – my first Trans Am win. I’m really excited. The M1 Racecars Camaro was really good all weekend and our biggest concerns were the unknowns of tire wear and the loads on the banking. The team chose to go conservative on the race setup and we were still fast enough to win. It was a really good race and, hopefully, we can keep this momentum going into next week in Atlanta.”

Connor Mosack, Driver No. 28 Chevrolet Camaro, TeamSLR:

“It was my first podium in Trans Am with the M1 Racecars Camaro. We’ve had some bad luck the last couple of races so I was just really happy to run all the laps. Thankfully, I was able to take it easy during the second half of the race. I don’t think we had a shot to really catch those guys, so we just kind of rode and hoped for a caution, which unfortunately we never got.”
