● Turner Brown – Started 2nd, Finished 5th (Mechanical, completed 38/45 laps)

**Noteworthy:**

● Jacobson, the 18-year-old from Marrietta, Georgia, scored his second CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series Western Championship win in a row, qualifying on the pole and dominating Saturday’s opening race of the weekend. He arrived at Laguna Seca having won the Western Championship’s previous round – the Sunday race of the April 25-26 weekend doubleheader at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.

● In the Sunday race, Jacobson started on the pole by virtue of laying down the fastest lap in the Saturday event. He came home just one position short of his third consecutive Western Championship podium.

● Jacobson entered the weekend with a seven-point lead atop the Western Championship standings and left Laguna Seca with a 35-point lead over fellow M1 Racecars competitor Carroll, winner of the Sunday race. Only the Nov. 8 season finale at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, remains on the schedule.

● The double-podium weekend for Carroll began with a drive to third place behind Jacobson and Brown in the Saturday race from the fourth starting position. The Costa Mesa, California, resident started the Sunday race from the pole and avoided trouble and overcame stifling heat to score his third career Western Championship victory and third in the second race of a weekend doubleheader. His first victory came in July 2024 at Portland (Ore.) Raceway, and his second in October 2025 at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, California.

● Brown, the 15-year-old from Alamo, California, had a solid debut in TA2 Series competition by qualifying second to Jacobson and finishing second to his fellow M1 Racecars driver in the Saturday race. Starting once again from the second position for the Sunday race, the grandson of Trans Am Hall of Fame driver Greg Pickett moved into the lead on lap five and maintained a comfortable gap until a mechanical issue led to an early end to his victory bid seven laps from the finish.

● Moore, from Granite Bay, California, began the weekend in an M1 Racecars chassis for the first time in his career and had designs on closing the 10-point gap to Jacobson atop the Western Championship standings. An overheating issue cut short his bid 25 laps into the Saturday race, however, and he switched to another car from his stable for the Sunday race, in which he finished sixth.

**Graham Jacobson, Driver, No. 48 Skilled-Nation.org/Nomotorsports Chevrolet Camaro:**

“It was a pretty great weekend overall. We got the pole by three-hundredths, which was pretty crazy, and then Saturday was basically exactly how we wanted it to go. The plan was to get out front, save the car and build a little bit of a gap, and that’s pretty much what happened. Turner (Brown) was really fast, so I knew I had to stay ahead of him, but we were able to control the race and get the win. Sunday was a little more up and down, but it was still a lot of fun. I had to work around some things and just keep pushing, and when the cautions came out late, I realized there was still a chance to get something out of it. We ended up just missing the podium, but I was happy with the way we soldiered through. Most importantly, we came out of the weekend with the points lead extended, so that’s a huge positive heading into COTA. We’re in a really good position, and now we just have to go finish it off.”

**Tim Carroll, Driver, No. 46 CRD MFG Inc./M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro:**

“It was just a great weekend overall. We wanted to get on the podium in both races and find a way to get the pole, and while we didn’t get the pole, we got the podiums, so it was a very successful weekend. We came out way ahead on points, too. Saturday was a hot one, literally and figuratively. The car was running hotter than it ever has, and then my helmet blower came off, so I was getting really hot in the car. It became an attrition race, and we just focused on not making mistakes and getting to the finish, which moved us into third. Sunday, we made some changes to the car that made all the difference. I was able to get into third, then had a really good, clean pass on Graham (Jacobson) and eventually inherited the lead after Turner’s issues. To come out of the weekend second in points was the best-case scenario. Now we go to COTA focused on protecting second, but we’re still going to give the championship everything we have.”

**Turner Brown, Driver, No. 28 LYT Hydration/Niagara Water/SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro:**

“It was a great learning experience overall. I was going in pretty blind, so qualifying second was a great result. Then, in the first race, I was just learning everything at once – how long the races are, how hot it gets in the car and how much the tires fall off. To come away with a podium right away was pretty awesome. Sunday was going really well, too. We had a pretty big lead before the caution and then stretched it back out to three or four seconds. I felt like I was improving a lot and getting more comfortable with the car, but then an issue developed. I tried to nurse it around for a few laps, but eventually it ended our day. Overall, it was a great weekend. Scott (Lagasse Jr.) and the whole TeamSLR group were great to work with and really helped me learn, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”

**Cole Moore, Driver, No. 99 JM Environmental/M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro:**

“It was a bummer to have our Saturday race cut short because of overheating because I was really excited to debut the M1 car this weekend. We are going to regroup and rebuild the car with our friends at TeamSLR – really go through it – and then we’ll be excited to run it next year.”
